This year’s international event showcased innovative home design concepts with eye-catching colors and patterns similar to those found in our latest residential collection.
KBIS 2024: A Color Story
We joined 117,000 attendees for this year’s KBIS + IBS gathering, which featured over 2,400 exhibitors and many noteworthy trends. Color was the top story, with selections ranging from light heritage blues and greens to Pantone’s Color of the Year, Peach Fuzz, as well as darker, more moody tones. We also saw interesting statement stones and classic marbles with a focus on rich veining and biophilic elements.
Much of what the team saw validates the design direction of the new Living Impressions™ Collection. In particular, these five 2024 Living Impressions™ launch patterns fit seamlessly into what we observed at the show.

A lot of statement stones showed dramatic veining on walls, kitchen islands and bathroom vanities. Warm veining continues to be popular but now with stronger colors like terracotta. Our Sahara Noir 180fx® laminate showcases this look perfectly.
The Verdant Marbles Trend: Jatoba Green
Jatoba Green 180fx® laminate adds a biophilic grounding element to a light kitchen concept.

Green was a focal color for many designers at KBIS, and we saw a range in hues from muted and soft to bright and vibrant. For natural stones, this is a continuation of trends spotted at Milan Design Week 2022, which jumpstarted the creation of Jatoba Green 180fx® laminate.
The Warm Quartzite Trend: Taj Mahal
Taj Mahal Formica® laminate is reminiscent of the best-known quartzites and brings a quiet elegance to interior spaces.
Daltile
LX Hausys
Not all design selections have to be big and dramatic. We saw many subtle, refined looks across all types of surfacing, including a lot of Taj Mahal stone. Taj Mahal Formica® laminate is the essence of classy and understated.
Classic Vein Cut: Hazelnut Travertine
Hazelnut Travertine 180fx® laminate adds beauty and warmth to everyday surfaces.

Formwood
Multi-faceted designs with shades of beige, taupe, gray and brown showed up at KBIS on a variety of stone displays. Hazelnut Travertine 180fx® laminate exemplifies this classic beauty with vein-cut directionality for a modern appeal.
