Care and Maintenance
Taking care of your laminate countertops is a breeze! Here are some helpful hints to keep your countertops beautiful for years to come.
Cleaning
- For daily cleaning, you only need soap and water!
- Use a soft sponge for best results. Don’t use abrasive sponges–especially on high gloss laminates.
- Make sure you clean up all water immediately around seams to avoid any moisture damage.
Disinfecting
- Great news! With laminate, you have a completely non-porous countertop that doesn’t need to be resealed. Approved for use in hospitals and restaurants, laminate is one of the healthiest countertop materials for your family.
- Most disinfecting agents are completely safe for laminate. For a complete list of approved disinfectants, visit the manufacturer’s pages below.
Removing Tough Stains
- Although laminate is one of the most stain-resistant surface materials, sometimes pesky stains still appear.
- To remove a stubborn stain, use a small amount of alcohol or acetone with a soft sponge.
- Another method is to apply a paste of baking soda and water to the stain and wipe up with a soft cloth. Rinse with water afterward.
